Toledo, OH to New York
Jesus, that was a long trip – 5 days from Santa Monica, CA to here in the gliding hills of New England. 3020 miles, 75 gallons of gas in the Prius, which means an average of 40.3 mpg (a little low because we were hauling two bikes, which docked about 8 mpg on average). That's about three SUV-sized tanks of gas, which isn't bad. I'm so tired I can barely put fingers to keyboard. So is the car.

But to give credit where credit is due – I would like to thank:

Glad you made it. Though I must say -- we are in fact of different generations. I would never get girly flavors in my coffee.
He doesn't drink his liquor without girly additives, why would you expect him to drink his coffee that way?
Dear God. I have been on vacation for the past few days, and I am catching up on your blog entries. The Steph-Sean-Alzheimer's-Reagan banter WORE ME OUT. Sorry to have missed it . . . lurking on your blog usually helps the work day move along nicely. Anyway, I have a few thoughts. . . I was a bit creeped out by Sean's flippant reference to his ex who used abortion as birth control. Was that supposed to be a joke? I mentioned in one of your earlier entries that I am an independent-minded registered Democrat who is a George Bush supporter. I am also a former pro-choice supporter who is no longer pro-choice. I dare all of you to struggle with fertility issues, get pregnant, have a child and then ask yourself whether or not you are still in favor of abortion rights. Or whether you believe abortion is such a pivotal issue during an election year. As a 20 year old, unmarried, sexually active college student, I considered abortion rights to be at the top of my list when evaluating supreme court nominees and presidential candidates. As a 36 year old married mother, there are at least 20 other political issues that are more important in my mind than abortion rights. I never thought I would say this, but: we have so many options available now for birth control. . . why are there so many abortions occurring? Laziness? Irresponsibility? The "can't be bothered with a condom" attitude? Do we really need to even legislate this kind of thing??
Regarding Mr. Reagan, let's please not dismiss the man and his presidency with a F&*K Y*(U. I never voted for the man, and I am not sure if I would vote for him if given the chance again, but I would take Mr. Reagan over Bill Clinton any time.
Laurie, I never argue abortion on my site, but I will say this: I will fight to the death for your right to NOT have an abortion. I will also fight to the death for anyone else to have one if they want.
