sky, sky blue

6/8/05

Oh dear - what's all this bickering about? This blog is supposed to be about babies, pop music and the University of North Carolina!

Cutie Sweetie Baby! Seeing that smiling face is like a shot of Lexapro to the soul!

If it hasn't arrived yet, there is another Tar Heel outfit finally on its way to the next Mia Hamm.

Go Bananas, Go, Go Bananas

Lucy.

I think Ian got the wakeup call, no bigotry from the uneducated liberal punk today, Ian is a big talker behind his computer when he tries to bash Christians, notice he doesn't go down to the local church on a Sunday and bash Christians like that, he is just a little sissy punk. Just an intolerant uneducated little bigoted punk, no different than his hero Dean.

Swingline, I've given you a long leash over the last few days. But if you post something like this again, you're getting blacklisted by Moveable Type. I've had it.

as much as I am for free speech, I'm also for banning IP addresses. I'm pretty sure that there are exactly 0 members of any of the 3 branches of government who would read swingline's comments and say "Oh, yeah, my views represent that guy"

Today's entry seems to be about Lucy and the Tar Heels. Any comments on the actual topic?

Thanks for the double shot of pure joy...

Thank Heavens you said that, Ian. His or her comments today in the light of the fact that you're showing us all your beautiful daughter left me with a horrible feeling in my gut. This person is nuts. Block 'em.

I look at one picture and think Lucy looks a lot like her mother. Then I look at the next one and think she looks like her father. I guess Lucy is a Tar Heels blend.

I agree with the above: block this guy. There are plenty of conservatives on this blog who have passionately taken you to task -- yet done so with respect and civility. Cutting this guy off for hammering away at his mean-spirited personal attacks would hardly stifle the debate.

She's a beauty, Ian!

"a big talker behind his computer"...Is there a pot-kettle thing going on here?

Posted by: kjf at June 9, 2005 09:47 AM

looks like you managed to get the music thing in there too with that Meatloaf reference...so looks like you are keeping your promises.

Thank you Ian for addressing the "swingline" issue. You have been a model of patience, but enough is enough. I too was nauseated by all the poison he/she spewed forth. On a much happier note - Lucy is precious!! Great pictures!!

i feel sorry for swingline. it's one thing to disagree sometimes with views on this blog while still enjoying and respecting the general content (i.e. badbob), but poor swingline seems to hate everything related to this enterprise...does s/he get off on feeling grim and spreading the yucky vibes? how can s/he post a nasty message after seeing snaps of a happy, healthy, innocent little baby?

kudos to betty r. for picking up the meatloaf reference. i missed it the first time 'round. "i want you, i need you, but there ain't no way i'm ever gonna love you, but don't be sad, cuz two out of three ain't bad!!" yee-haw! a ride down memory lane.
