Sorry to lame out, but today I had to get a enormous filling in tooth number 12 in Beverly Hills, then battle traffic to Santa Monica, where I spent two more hours getting a root canal. My head is splitting with pain, and the 3-Advil trick isn't doing anything. Weirdly enough, the tooth is fine: it's just everything else.
I left before Lucy got up from her morning nap and got home after she went to bed, so I didn't see her at all today, dammit! So I'll just post a picture for myself.

Dentist in Beverly Hills, huh? Was it the same one that Jessica Simpson went to during that episode of "Newlyweds" when she admitted that she did not take care of her teeth and she needed a root canal too? Huh?
Hey, whatever happened to that front tooth that you cracked this past winter while sledding with your friend Lindsay?
And yes, I am a dork. I remember past episodes of "Newlyweds" as well as past posts of Ian's Blog. Someone please save me from myself!
Poor Ian!
Funny how even having a root canal in Beverly Hills can sound glamorous!
OOOOHHHHHHHHH! THE CUTENESS!!!!!
(dies)
in the future if you have dental problems when you are out of town you should go to the dental school (but don't use the students use the faculty practice). that way when they send you to the next specialist you just have to walk down the hall or across the quad or something. it will still suck but at least the torture is limited in time! now this will make you more sympathetic when lucy starts teething!!
Hmmm. I left before our son woke up this a.m. so I could sit in traffic court all morning and be Opressed by The Man. Also, my inlaws are enroute from LGA to spend a week with us. I think I'd take the root canal, trade you.
