Good God... my sympathies, Ian. I've never even heard of such luck. Get well (stay well).

Hang in there, Ian, you're bound to turn the corner soon. We've missed you!!

nothing that a continual dose of high end single malt scotches can't cure. or at least dull the pain.

Holy crap! Bless your heart - get well! Not the best way to spend Christmas or New Years, to say the least...

Posted by: Claudia at January 5, 2007 05:38 AM

All during the same year??? Wow. I hope you feel better soon!

My husband suffers a similar fate (with varying aliments) almost every holiday or vacation we go on. The key is not to work so hard leading up to the holiday. That way your immune system doesn't get so weakened that all those crazy illnesses attack you and ruin your time off. Oh, and a little pre-soujourn echinacea doesn't hurt.

Hope you feel better soon.

OH NO! Get well soon, Ian.

Agh! Poor guy! Hang in there and enjoy lots of soup.

Happy new year to you and your family anyway.

Oooo, ow. My sympathies, Ian. Rest up until you're 100% better. Hope your golden girls weren't sick also.

We've missed you. I went through Xtician withdrawal this past week.

holy cannoli, batman! i couldn't think of a better expression of horror, as all of my knee-jerk reactions had been taken already...either way, GET WELL SOON! this is no way to start 007 but perhaps you'll be better immunized and healthy the rest of the year, having gotten it out of the way now?

happy new year!!

Ummm... that all sounds truly awful. And to think there's a newborn baby in your family that you probably have not been able to see for weeks. I'm SOOOOO sorry. The only upside I can think of is that I'm betting you didn't gain any weight over the holidays. Good luck with the recovery, and know that you were missed terribly.

Been wondering what's up. Hope you feel better. I, personally have been able to shake off my repeated bouts with pleurisy thanks to a prescription of prednisone, which I must say make me feel just peachy. Mmmmm. Steroids.

Yick. I suppose that is what happens when you leave sunny California. Get well soon!
