go commonwealth rams!

3/14/07

Okay, you crazy kids. You have until noon (eastern time) and 9am (pacific) to get your picks into ESPN's xtcian-4GNNB tournament pool, so git' movin'! If you are just now realizing we were doing it, put a comment below ASAP using your real email address in the "we won't show it" field, and I'll try to get you an invite in time!

Drats! I waited too long, and now the espn website is blocked at the Insurance Job. I had my picks charted out and everything! Thanks for the invite, though. Go Heels!

Can I play?

So far I have successfully picked every correct game in this year's MEAC, SESAC, and SLEESTACK tourneys. I should get an automatic bid into your brackets as the number one hay-seed.

What--is that guy in the white sweater on the women's team?

Posted by: Tanya at March 15, 2007 09:43 AM

strapping young men! I wonder how tall they are/were?

Posted by: Neva at March 15, 2007 10:57 AM

Is it William and Mary and he's representing William or did her wear the shirt upside down?

Posted by: Neva at March 15, 2007 10:58 AM

I've got it - his Mom sewed the letter on upside down and there was no way she was fixing it!

It's either Mentor or Minford high school's basketball team from 1913, and I love it for the two guys at bottom right. I had a blog about this a few years ago:

I don't know why the one guy has a "W" on his sweater. I thought it might mean he was the team captain, or manager, or something, or maybe it was the college he went to, then came back - anyone else have a guess?

Maybe he is the predecessor to Adam Sandler's "W"aterboy.

UNC has already lasted longer than Dook! It's all gravy from here.

Yes Ian, I remember that blog and the pic; those two are some formidable backcourt duo. They clearly complement each other perfectly and have a deep bond both on and off the court. Didn't get you my pix either, but I'm a one-sheet kinda guy anyway. Roll 'em down....
