Happy Birthday Lucy!!!!!! I still remember three years ago today (or so) reading the story your daddo touchingly wrote about your birth and crying floods of tears of joy and happiness while hiding behind my computer so no one could see me all snotty and red eyed.

Happy birthday Lucy! Three is such an awesome year. In many ways it's harder than two, but I think it's because their little brains are expanding like crazy with knowledge. I look forward to hearing about Lucy's growth this year. Enjoy every moment.
Okay, so I was out of town last week, and just caught up with the blog. WOW! Without the benefit of the heat of the moment, the comments were rather surprising. I'm actually glad I missed it.
I will say that I really enjoy Ian's travel entries, and I hope that a few naysayers won't stop you from posting those. Your lifestyle is enviable, and yet you try to do what's right for the environment where you can. I admire you for living life to the fullest every day. It's unfortunate that other people can't see the beauty in that.

Happy Birthday to Lucy! My 7 year old saw this picture and said "they had her party at a furniture store?". I guess she's only seen furniture that cool in the store. I didn't realize my kid is that out of touch :)
