Right. So anybody got anything they need to get off their chest?

our health care plan: growin' carrots
You both look so fabulous. Particularly love the ballet slippers Lucy is sportin'. [the speech went well, eh?]
I love the carrots (and Lucy). Also, really like the assymetry of the boards on the raised bed. What a neat design effect. I assume that was purposeful.
Of last night I will only say..
"We came here not to fear the future, but to shape it".
Beautiful.
Cute photo! You look a lot like your dad in this photo (judging from your previous photo postings, of course).
It's nice to see your smile after some very well-founded grumpiness!
Love the pic, the garden goodies, the child. Aw, love you too, Ian. ;-)
OK, I have to say it: The reception to Obama's speech seems to be split along party lines. Is anyone surprised? Why am I disappointed... AGAIN?
Neva, that phrase from the speech is my Facebook status now.
It recalled for me the ringing call of "Ask not..." from JFK way back when.
I want to get off my chest that I just had another miscarriage and I wish health insurance plans covered infertility treatments universally. I know so many heartbroken women who can't conceive. I want to be a mother so badly and I am a year shy of 40. I hope someday there is more legislation about that.
Sorry to bring anyone down. That is a beautiful photo, but I did want to get that off my chest.
Anon Fan,
We went through that before having our kids. It is a gut-wrenching feeling for both people and, even more so for the woman. Hang in there.
Nice planter. Did something similar for my son with railroad ties.
No comment about the SC rep who blurted out during the speech?
Anon: Been there, and I am so VERY sorry for your loss.
My state began requiring coverage for IVF back in the 1990s, thank God. (although we never ended up doing IVF, partly because we figured adoption was more of a sure thing and the costs were similar before the law was passed) My prayers are with you. You CAN and will become a parent, maybe not in the precise way you envisioned when you were younger. Keep the faith.
Just thought I would throw this out to Ian. completely non-related but I think you would find this interesting given your penchant for good Scotch. I am in no way affiliated with the site
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!
Anon - thinking of you, whomever you are. I too wish infertility was covered, because I know so many people who want to have a baby, but cannot. Good luck.
"Bra's"
why the hell is it called that............I mean how the fuckadoodee do they think that that word represents the function of that product.........bra........bra.....hmmmmmmmmmm....bra.....i suppose if you say it enough....but bra.......bit boring for what it does. Not that we really need it at all anyway......discuss !
