But enough of my yakkin'... I know research shows that New Year's Resolutions are, by definition, destined to fail, BUT have any of you made any, kept any, or already let it go?
The only one I've successfully made and kept is from two years ago. "Be kinder than you need to be." It really doesn't involve sacrifice like diet resolutions, etc., and it makes my little world nicer. Sorry to go all sugar-sweet!
The other one that I still like is from four years ago, and I'm glad you made me remember it just now and go back and re-read it. I been doing a lot of complainin' lately and need to cut it out!
http://annenotations.blogspot.com/2006/01/resolutionary.htmlHow about you, Ian?
1. Eat fewer salty snacks. So far so good.
2. Drink more water. So far so good.
3. Be more patient with people at work. Hmmmm, better start on that.
4. Private.
Drink more water and be nicer to my husband. My job requires me to be nice to all kinds of people all day long. I tend to, ah, overcompensate in the other direction when I get home. He's the one who deserves that the least!
1. no airplane glue on weekdays
[#2 deleted... now, let's be nice. -ed.]
They're goals/plans rather than resolutions, but...
Less sugar (eg cola as an occasional rather than a staple), regular strength and aerobic exercise. More down time.
So far, fairly good....

Made a resolution to exercise but started it in mid November and have kept it so far.
