Director: Bryan Spicer
Cast: Tim Allen, Kirstie Alley, Michael Lerner, Larry Miller,

Okay, okay... so it's a comedy making fun of the Amish. So Kirstie Alley and Tim Allen have to hide in Intercourse, PA to escape tax fraud. And there's lots of jokes about getting up real early. So why did I like this movie so damn much?

Perhaps it's Kirstie Alley coming into her own as the American Grande Dame of Comedy—her timing is impeccable, and she has a way of moving that is both funny and sexy. Maybe it's the fact that the Amish give American audiences unlimited mileage for jokes, pranks and double entendres. But my money is on Tim Allen, who is perfectly hilarious in his grimaces, asides and rancorous commentary. He is amazingly funny here, and I don't even like the guy that much.

Give it a whirl.
