Jon Favreau wrote and directed this terrific little film about a man in his mid-twenties who is trying to get over his first post-adolescent love. Vince Vaughn—whose swagger and speech make up most of this film's elan—plays the best friend who is determined to wake him up. Featuring an ensemble cast that perfectly captures the essence of Hollywood aspirers, and a script full of little twists that evokes young L.A. at its most seductive and depressing. Quite a joyride.
